Do you accept insurance? How much do services cost?
I accept many major insurances including Aetna, Carelon, Optum, Cigna, and more through my billing platform Alma. Prior to your appointment, Alma will run an insurance check and provide you with an estimated cost (usually just a copay for in-network insurances). Check out my Alma profile for more information on using insurance.
If your insurance company will reimburse for out-of-network visits, a superbill can be provided which you can submit yourself to your insurance for reimbursement.
For self-pay patients, please contact me for rates.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept credit card, debit card, HSA/FSA accounts. All patients must have a valid payment form on file with Alma prior to your appointment.
What conditions do you treat?
I treat a wide range of conditions including:
- Mood disorders
- Anxiety disorders
- Depression
- Post traumatic stress disorder
- Bipolar disorder
- Women's behavioral health concerns (pregnancy, postpartum, menopause)
- Burnout/stress
- Obsessive compulsive disorder
What kind of treatments do you offer?
Treatment is individualized and may include medication, education, supportive counseling, lifestyle recommendations, and collaboration with your therapist or other healthcare providers when appropriate. I believe in a comprehensive approach to mental health that considers the whole person—not just symptoms. When medication is appropriate, my goal is to use the simplest, lowest effective dose while helping you build long-term strategies for lasting wellness.
Do you prescribe controlled substances?
No. Because my practice is virtual-only, I am unable to prescribe Schedule II controlled substances due to updated NJ DEA requirements mandating in-person visits for this. These include medications such as most stimulants for ADHD, benzodiazepines (Xanax, Ativan, Valium), controlled sleep medications like Ambien or Lunesta.
What can I expect during my first visit?
During your first visit, we'll take the time to discuss your concerns, symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, and treatment goals. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan and discuss whether medication, lifestyle changes, therapy, or other approaches may be appropriate. My goal is for you to leave with a clearer understanding of your mental health and the next steps in your care.
